Order of the Valorous Heart Stand Strong

I did it! With another week to spare before #New40k drops on the 25th of this month. The Adepta Sororitas are ready to take on a holy crusade. Rachel helped with the photography, I helped with the infinity background... in that I held up the white printer paper.

This particular Order of the Valourous Heart detachement will be led by the fearless Cannoness Praxima. Fearless and determined, she will turn all who seek the darkness to the Emperor's light. No sacrifice is too great for the cause is just and truth. Praxima commands with authority, expecting all who serve under her to give their life to the cause.

Sister Superior Alwyn Nevella (the natural sweetener) takes charge of the Battle Sisters Squad, previously battle scarred from an encounter with daemonettes of Slaanesh, she is no stranger to pain. The God Emperor smiles on those that show their faith, these sister take to their foe with unbridled fury.

With the new rules to morale, it might be more feasible to use a 10 person squad instead the usual 5, especially to add some padding for the special weapons to survive.
Special Weapons Squad - Flamer, Stormbolter with a Simulacrum Imperialis
I'll need to find something to use as a Cherub, maybe on thingaverse? Or like Reaper? They have been around forever, so they are bound to have some creepy cyborg babies, right?

Swooping in from the air are the literal angels of the Emperor. No, wait, I guess Celestine would technically be that. Anyways, Sister Mylanthra Crest guides her Seraphim unit with the holy light of the Emperor's will, incinerating daemons and xenos with super heated flame weapons.

Two of the sisters in this squad (the two flanking Sister Mylanthra with her power sword) have replaced their bolt pistols with generic looking flame guns from Victoria Miniatures, could run them as meltas or flamers.

Repentia Superior Thessia Hallows takes now pleasure in goading her wayward sisters on... well, not that she tells anyone. Her duty to her sisters is to guide them on their path to redemption, and if they need a reminder, she will always be their, duel wielding two flimsy ass whips for "encouragement."

Repentia squad is one of the two squad that come in the Adepta Sororitas launch box that weren't complete. When I first picked this box up, I wasn't too worried about it. Thinking that I'd just use them in Kill Team, but it turns out that you can only take ONE in your entire Kill Team? That's a bit odd. Well, I wouldn't mind making the unit into a 5 or 10 person unit so I searched the hive mind of the internet.

Back to Thingaverse again, it seems there is one that is leaping into an overhead strike, or a bunny girl? Thingaverse is a silly place, let's not go there anymore. Another opinion is kitbashing with Daughters of Khaine witches, but then I'd need to find like 6 chainswords. The other other option is of course just get a box of them, which comes with 9? Repentias? What happened to even numbers GW!? At least with this option I could use the Repentia Superior as one of the many HQ or Elite choices that want to show you a specific passage in a book. I believe this falls into a not right now problem.

Father Henry Wilbur was entirely devoted to the Emperor, leading a flock of sheep in their daily prayers, spending all his life in the service to spreading his word. After years of devotion, Henry started to overstep the bounds of his duty, he had become an icon himself. Always there to witness miracles, thinking that it wasn't just the Emperor granting those miracles, but himself. He became jealous of the Emperor, desiring to be worshipped like him, to be adored and in the spotlight, like a god. Dark whispers of She who thirsts wormed their way inside his head A few changes to the Imperial Creed, change the serves, soon he had a following, like a holy saint. Then it was his whole clergy, this is when the Emperor's eye turned to see what his "faithful servant" had become. There was a price to becoming a God.

Three Arco-Flagellants, this box is a bit messed up, I feels it's partly so all the new models could fit on their tetris like sprues. I was going to just play smaller games with the contents of this box, so I am fine with it, but my OCD brain is like why not 3 more models to complete those units?!

So total Power Level for the Order of the Valorous Hearts:

Patrol Detachment +0CP

HQ

Cannoess Praxima - 3PL (59pts)

Troops

Battle Sister Squad - 4PL (50pts)
Battle Sister Squad - 4PL (53pts)

Elite

Arco-Flagellants - 2PL (39pts)
Sisters Repentia - 2PL (52pts)

Fast Attack

Seraphim Squad - 4PL  (68pts)

Heavy Support

Penitent Engines - 3PL (56 pts)

No Force Org Slot

Repentia Superior - 2PL (35pts)

Total:   24PL (412pts)

WOW! As is, I'll be using this little army as a Patrol Detachment which is not great if I am planning to expand this army out, it does give you a unit for each detachment slot but it would be nice to have one more battle sisters squad and/or an HQ. I was gifted a squad of Battle Sisters/Celestian/Dominion for my birthday in February, and ideally, I'd like to go with Celestian, as they get a bonus to hit while protecting Characters, but being able to bump up the Detachment to a Battalion (granted that means finding an HQ as well) or make both Battle Sisters Squads 10 strong would be nice too.

To get my Crusade up to 50PL, I was going to add in some Ad-mech units into a Spearhead Detachement, but the Kastelan robots are 12 PL for two of them, might be a bit over the limit of 50PL. I would have picked up the old Ad-mech Start Collecting Box with the Onager Dunecrawler but GW discounted it and now I am just looking for reasons to buy more models, so I'll probably just add the Kastelan Robots (which I HAVE) and just be slightly over the roster limit for a couple games till that limit is extended.

Next up on the Hobby Desk

Finished off one of the 2020 hobby goals, hopefully I can get back to the Slaves to Darkness soon to finish them off as well. But for now, I have some Goliath gangers on the table as well as some proxies of Cawdor from Mirliton that I picked up back in March.

Hopefully I can get a game in of WarCry with Rachel, maybe on Friday or the weekend. Looking into the Monsters that could be added used as a Challenge scenario, I did notice that the Glottkin I have is only 10mm difference in size then the Chimera or War Hydra... probably might drop on the paint desk soon.
