I have been a bit neglectful on the upkeep of this blog. Posting a demo game and terrain I painted in November only a couple of days ago? But I had to get it in for the end of the year wrap up to total up all the painting and purchasing I have been doing or others have been doing for me.
Here are the items I acquired over November and December:
A Touch of Evil - Revised
I have heard good things about this game, that it's like Horrified with more atmosphere and tension. We shall see, it plays 1-8 players so a solo play through will likely be in the mix soon.
I had a moment of weakness when I went on Ebay to find two Dark Eldar Raiders in alright condition. After using some of my dark eldar for the OPR demo, a couple kalabite warriors and a jetbike have landed on my paint table. So seeing these two raiders for a steal make me want to continue shaping up my 3rd Edition Dark Eldar. This won't be a purist list as there will be newer models in the mix as well.
Rachel gave me an Fantasy Miniature advent calendar to open throughout December. Quality ranges a lot in these miniatures. For the most part, they will work well.

And now, my short painted miniatures section.
I can't recall where I got these lizardmen from but they will be used in Ghost of Archipelago. Demoing this or Mech Attack! in 2026 has definitely crossed my mind.
Next on the Hobby Desk
Well, I should get to work painting some of the items on my desk, maybe some of the board games I am hoping to get to the table? I don't have a solid plan at the moment.

That is a great haul you got over the last two months.
ReplyDeleteJon, I have Touch of Evil, too, and I'm looking for an excuse to paint the minis. Want to paint them together?
ReplyDeleteI do want to get it to the table soon with painted minis. Paint and chat? Or is this more of a gentleman's handshake that we will get them done in a timely manner?
DeleteEither one, my friend. You have access to my Discord server if you want to paint and hang, or we could just decide to paint the set in February, and both post our efforts. Roger and I both painted the Dungeon Saga core set in September a few years back. I was thinking this could be the same thing. (I have yet to play Dungeon Saga despite painting the miniatures. Hopefully I'll be able to play Touch of Evil sooner!)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if there is any support for Dungeon Saga, but tabletop simulator could at least be a venue to get it played with your discord chums. Wouldn't help those painted miniatures see a table though.
